The foremost credo or philosophy of a freethinker is always to question authority by using critical thinking skills.

We freethinkers are skeptics who arrive at conclusions, particularly in questions of religion, by employing the rules of reason while rejecting supernatural authority or ecclesiastical tradition. We’ve found that independence of thought from such authority leads all people to essentially the same conclusions concerning morality and religion.

We strive to bring about a progressive society where being ‘good without god” is an accepted way to live life. We count freethinkers and other nontheists as the core of our membership, but are always willing to work with friends and allies on issues of common concern. We’re also willing to share our thinking and ways of being with those who are curious about what life is like without belief in a god.
