I concur, Bill. Not really a debate; more like a show on who knows what about Christianity and Atheism.
Hitchens’s mind is amazing, second only to his apparent smugness. All in all, though, an entertaining evening, especially for those new to nonbeliever arguments.

Tom -
It seems to me that in your comment you’ve made two assumptions:
1. That someone didn’t know the difference between “tenant and a tenet.” It may, after all, have been a simple typing error made in haste. Even the best writers have proofreaders for a reason. Things slip by.
2. That someone who worked on this website’s software doesn’t know the difference between “security and secutiry.”
I know for a fact that the second assumption is incorrect. The software this site runs on is the open-source WordPress blog publishing system. The software and its many features and add-ons has thousands of authors. Many in foreign countries. It’s a Wiki sort of thing.
None of those many people worked on THIS website’s software. Although they may have written files with spelling errors that was adpoted for this site.
Careful with the assumptions. By making them you cast not only others, but yourself in a poor light.

Is anyone else disappointed that someone who works for the University of Florida doesn’t know the difference between a tenant and a tenet?
Spell-check is like prayer – it gives you a misleading feeling that something has been accomplished
P.S. Someone who worked on this website’s software doesn’t know the difference between security and secutiry (error message you get if you forgot to type the captcha).

Caught this “debate” back in September at UCF. Expect lots of logical jumps and fast-and-loose playing with the facts from D’Souza. Hitchens, as usual, comes across as the smartest (and perhaps smuggest!) man in the room. I do recommend.
